He was given the name :
pocketrocket. Problem is that no one can remember why. I guess that the
reason will stay unknown until Oldman decides to tell us. He decides all
these things (even though he really doesn’t want to). Currently, one of
the founding members of the Great American Mid West chapter (since he and
Mongoose go to school there), he will be racing for his university to keep
in shape. Been riding for a year and he’s now on a Giant TCR 0 and a
Specialized A1 with Shimano 105. These are also all the bikes he’s ever
owned.
The people that have most
influenced him to ride are the ‘tri-geeks.’ He originally wanted to do
triathlons, but got hooked on road biking instead. Even though he’s been
riding for only a year, he has really good taste in bikes since his dream
road bike is a Seven Axiom and his dream mountain bike is a Klein Adept
Pro.
He doesn’t want to give any
advice since he’s still kind of new to this. He’s got lots of advice
from Team Absolut but none of it good so he doesn’t want any of it
credited to him!!
He best cycling moment was when
he got 7th in his second criterium, ever. And his worst cycling moment
was when he broke his collarbone in his third criterium.
His best bike purchase is his
Giant TCR frame. And his worst bike related purchase are his Spinacci
clip-ons, which don't fit his )(*$&@# handlebars.
His
best non-bike purchase was his computer. But his worst bike purchase was
his iPAQ pocketPC. He’s never used all the flashy features.
