His
nickname is Lippy. But he doesn’t talk much. So he can’t really figure
out why we call him that. One more mystery to ponder.. He’s still in
school preparing to be a Mechanical Engineer. So once he’s done,
that’s what he plans to do… He’s new to the sport, currently in his
second year, he’s owned 2 bikes: a Cromoly Wheeler (lasted 8 months) and
a Giant TCR 1. The Giant is his current ride.
Lippy
thinks that the person that most influenced him to ride is his ex-biathlon
captain. His dream road bike is a Litespeed Ghisallo with a full
Campagnolo Record Groupo. Like some of the other absolutes he has yet to
cross over to mountain biking so he doesn’t have a dream mountain
bike…yet. The best advice he’s received on riding is to ride as a
team!
His
advice to all beginners is be prepared to spend some real $$$ if you
really intend to take up cycling.
His best cycling moment was the 2002 Sentosa road classic II. (He won it
actually.) Funny thing is that his worst cycling moment was in a pre-race
crash minutes before the start of the very same race. His best bike
related purchase is his current Giant TRC 1. His worst bike related
purchases are Vittoria tubulars for $100 each!!
