Why
Goose? Here we go. There are two stories . The first is that Beef shouted
"Goose!" and he was stupid enough to turn around. The second is
that OM always says he leads the chasing pack off on a wild goose chase...
Currently
unemployed he is
trying to finish his Honours Thesis in Geography in NUS. In view of that,
his alternate job would be bumming at home?
He’s
been riding one and a half years. In that time this is what he owned a
"Chopper" bike in Primary school. Chopper rules! (this doesn’t
make sense since his has only been riding for a year a and a half
and he’s in Uni. So you do the math..) And he’s borrowed
Beef's Trek STP 400 for a few months.
His
current bike number one, his cool blue Trek 2000 with Vector Comp rims and
tri-geek bars.
The
person that has most influence him to ride is Lance Armstrong. But his
dream road bike is not a Trek. It’s a Pinarello Prince - If its good
enuff for Big Mig and Fat Jan...
His
dream mountain bike is erm...Lance's 5900? (cf. Nike "Enjoy the
Weather" Ad) But seriously, the Fuel series looks nice.
And how
about this for his best piece of advice :
Beef:
"Where's your helmet?"
Goose: "I forgot to wear it."
Beef: "Don't be an idiot - you must wear one every TTT."
Goose: *looks at Beef's Pantani bandana* "what about you?"
Beef: "I'm already an idiot."
Doesn’t
want to give any advice yet cos he feels that he is too much of a newbie.
His best cycling moment came when he realized that he could keep up with
Spiderman for most of the JI run(that was then). For someone with a short
cycling history he has too many worst cycling moment to list here -
getting dropped, dislocating his
wrist after a crash, getting ready to eat Merrybrown Chicken but had to
leave... His best bike purchase is a pair of Vector Comp rims (thanks
Sandman).
His best non-bike purchase to date is his collection of Beatles CDs and
their Anthology. For some reason he doesn’t want to disclose his worst
non-bike purchase as it is “too embarrassing to mention.” So we’ll
leave it up to your imagination.
